Ron2 English Tutorial on ReachMahjong.com Press Release
On Sunday, February 3rd, JPML (Japan Professional Mahjong League) held the final session of the second season of their 2007-2008 Pro League.
Jenn spent most of the season in 5th place but dropped down to 16th in the 4th session. Garthe moved up from a negative score to hold teh 19th place position after session 4. Jenn Barr and Garthe Nelson came up from behind and each had a winning session to put them into 9th and 13th places respectively.
This top finish int he top 14 of D2 moves both players to D1 League, the next one above D2. Certain players that moved up will also have a shot at a special league. Winners of the special league are invited to skip leagues instead of moving up only one. Jenn and Garthe will play with other pro's in D1 starting in April for the 2008-2009 season of JPML.
In December World Mahjong Limited (WML) announced the second World Series of Mahjong, to be held in Macau at the Wynn hotel from September 19th through the 21st.
Following on the success of its first participant in the tournament last year, ReachMahjong.com will be sending none other than its very own Jenn and Garthe to this year?s event. The prize pool will again exceed US $1 million, by far the largest for any Mahjong tournament to date and promises to draw participants from all over the globe. The series uses a somewhat different set of rules from Reach so it will require a bit of study and practice for those used to Reach. ReachMahjong.com will be looking for more intrepid challengers to join us in our quest to bring Mahjong?s top prize home to the world of Reach Mahjong. For more details about the tournament look here. ...
